Where can I send money?

You can send money from most of the conveniently located CMT agents. You can search our online directory to find your nearest agent.

How many countries can I send money to?

The CMT network is continually expanding, both into new countries as well as adding more locations in existing countries. Currently, CMT operates in 143 countries worldwide.

How can I pay for my money transfer?

You can always pay by cash. Some locations will also accept credit / debit cards. Please enquire at the relevant locations.

Are there different ways of sending money?

Yes. Depending on the country you are sending to/from, the following options are available:

CMT Cash - receiver collects cash from one of 23,000 CMT locations worldwide
CMT Account - the money is credited to the receiver's bank account
CMT Home Delivery - the money is delivered direct to the receiver's home

Do I need to show ID when sending or receiving money?

Generally yes, an ID is required, particularly when receiving money. Acceptable forms of ID will include a passport, identity card or driver's license.

When sending money, the ID requirements are dependent on each country's regulations and will vary based on where you are sending money from and how much money you are sending.

How long does it take to transfer the money?

The CMT Cash service is an instant service. CMT has an Internet based system, which means the money is available to be collected within minutes.

The CMT Account service normally takes up to 3 working days, depending on local banking systems.

With CMT home delivery, the money is frequently delivered on the same day. However, in situations where the money is being sent to a remote destination, for example: with some of the islands in the Philippines, the money may take a few days to arrive.

How much does the service cost?

The fees are very competitive and offer excellent value for money. The transfer fee varies depending on the amount you are sending and where you are sending from / to. Please contact your nearest agent for pricing.

Do I get a reduction if making a number of transfer payments?

When you make a number of transactions using the FREE CMT Globe Card, you will receive a loyalty discount on your transfer fees*.

How much money can I send?

The send amount varies in different countries. On average in the UK you can send £3000 in one transaction, €4,500 across Europe and $5,000 in the US. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
